LED Blue/Red Light Therapy
Safe and Effective...No Downtime

LED Light Therapy is a pain-free high-intensity, red and blue light system that treats a variety of skin conditions including: acne, rosacea, fine lines, and pigmentation.
The blue light wavelength targets and destroys p. acnes, the bacteria responsible for causing acne inflammation.

The red light wavelength has been clinically proven to stimulate collagen production and naturally rejuvenate the skin. Red light has anti-inflammatory properties and when used in combination with blue light helps to minimize the redness of acne lesions and promotes healthier skin.

LED Light Therapy Treatment can also be used to reduce redness, pain and swelling after chemical treatment, IPL and laser procedures.

Lymphatic Drainage
The versitile HydraFacial provides a gentle suction for face or body lymphatic drainage. The relaxing treatment slowly pulls the lymph from your sinuses and drains them through your system. Perfect for those with sinus headaches and colds or recovering from surgery.

Microdermabrasion
This customized treatment enhances the look of your skin, encourages rejuvenation and reduces the appearance of fine lines.

Microdermabrasion can stimulate the production of your skin’s natural collagen and elastin, amplifying the benefits of product penetration. It helps decrease age spots, repair sun damage, reduce pore size and treat hyper-pigmentation.
Maximum benefits are recognized after a series of sessions.

Micro-Peel
The MicroPeel is a process that combines medical grade microdermabrasion with medical grade chemical peels to improve the texture and feel of your skin. This treatment can be customized for aging skin, sun damaged skin, rosacea, acne, dull, dry, dehydrated skin or for changes in skin due to pregnancy.

Custom Peel

They effectively reduce fine lines, age spots, enlarged pores, sun damage, freckling and minimal scarring. Chemical Peels may also remove pre-cancerous skin growths, soften acne facial scars and even control acne. Chemical peels promote the growth of new skin and collagen resulting in improved texture and radiance that is noticeable in just a few days. Skin peels may be superficial, mild, medium-depth, or deep.

Eyelash Extenstion / Eyelash and Brow Tinting
Eyelash extensions create the longer, thicker and fuller look that women desire. It is the perfect way to attract attention and create effortless glamor.

Now offering eyelash and brow tinting.

WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
At Tranquility we use semi-permanent, synthetic extensions which are glued onto the natural lash (not the skin) by using a specially formulated glue that last 2-4 weeks. Eyelash extensions are a new beauty service in Australia which originated in Korea. Cluster synthetic eyelashes are applied to your own natural eyelash to achieve a beautiful full luscious and long set of lashes.

How long does the application take?
The procedure will take approximately 1 hour for a full set and approximately 30 minutes for a fill. It is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration so therefore it should not be rushed so that clients can leave with a perfect set of lashes. You relax with your eyes closed and there is no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure.

WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE MY EYELASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT?
If you have fair or light eyelashes it is recommended to have them tinted before your eyelash extension appointment which we offer at Tranquility Med Spa. If you need tinting please let us know when making your appointment so we can book you enough time. Preferably arrive with no makeup or at least no mascara and do not perm or curl your eyelashes before your eyelash extension appointment.

IF YOU HAVE AN EYE INFECTION OR HAVE RECENTLY UNDERGONE AN EYE OPERATION OR COSMETIC EYE SURGERY IT WOULD BE BEST TO WAIT UNTIL THE EYE AREA HAS COMPLETELY HEALED.

IS THERE ANY REASON WHY I CAN'T HAVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED OR CONTRAINDICATIONS?
Almost anyone can enjoy eyelash extensions, but if one or more of the following conditions applies to you, you may not be a good candidate for eyelash extensions.
-You rub your eyes frequently. If you rub your eyes frequently due to allergies such as hay fever, or if rubbing your eyes is just a habit, you may not be able to wear eyelash extensions.
-You have highly sensitive skin. If you experience irritation around the eye area after using skin care of makeup, eyelash extensions may not suit you.
You are sick or have allergies. If you have a cold, sinus or allergy infection, please do not get eyelash extensions! -They will not last a long time due to irritation and secretions from the eye area.
-Your natural eyelashes are very curly. If your natural lashes are very curly you are definitely not a good candidate for eyelash extensions. Curly eyelashes tend to shorten the eyelash extensions wear time. Generally with curly eyelashes, extensions may only last up to three days before they start to lift.
-You have no natural eyelashes. A person who does not have any natural eyelashes cannot wear eyelash extensions because there is no where to place them. Eyelash extensions must be placed on the natural eyelash and not directly on the skin. Consider using strip eyelash instead.

However, if you are unsure please contact the salon to discuss it.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Approximately 2-4 weeks if you respect your new lashes and take care of them. Remember this is a semi-permanent beauty procedure. Do not be duped by those who promise “permanent” extensions or attachments that last for 2+ months. A real lash’s life cycle is around 25-28 days, and as yours grow and fall out, so will the synthetic ones that are attached. If your hair and nails grow quickly then that may indicate that your lashes also are growing, shedding and renewing themselves quickly so you may find that your lashes will not last as long as someone whose hair growth is slow. Your life style and what work you do will also make a difference how long they last. A ladies lashes working in the food industry where there is alot of heat, steam and oil may not last as well as a lady who works in an air conditioned office. Eyelash extensions will not last for three months, this is false advertising by salons and inexperienced people. If you have never had lashes before it is recommended to do your first touch up in 2 weeks.

AFTER CARE FOR MY NEW LASHES:
-For the first 24 hours avoid getting the lashes wet to allow the glue to completely dry
-Do not use a steam room or sauna for the first 48 hours to allow glue to cure
-Be gentle and respect your new lashes. -Avoid rubbing your eyes and do not pick and play with your lashes
-Resist the temptation to touch or pull at your stunning new lashes as this will pull out your own natural lashes
-Avoid getting them caught on clothes and towels
-When drying your face do not rub instead blot your face and apply a gently pressure to your closed eyes then allow the extensions to dry naturally. --Don't try to dry them with the towel or hair dryer.
-Do not perm or curl the extensions using a clamp eyelash curlers
-Do not use eye make-up remover that contains any type of oil products such as petroleum
-Do keep the eye area clean. This is very important. Some ladies love their lashes so much they don't even want to get them wet at all. Avoiding proper hygiene can result in an eye infection whether wearing eyelash extensions or not
-Try and sleep on your back to avoid crushing your extensions in the pillow
***The golden rule for wearing eyelash extensions is the less you touch them the longer they will last. However, it is important to keep the eye area clean.

CAN I TAKE THE EXTENSIONS OFF MYSELF?
NO. Lash extensions are attached using an adhesive. You WILL damage your natural lashes if you attempt to remove these yourself. Only a certified Lash specialist or technician can remove your extensions for you, since it will require the use of an adhesive remover gel and careful separation.
